ChatGPT Atlas is the web browser launched by OpenAI in late 2025 and generally available in 2026. It's OpenAI's answer to Perplexity's Comet: a browser where AI isn't an add-on but the core engine.
Atlas includes a ChatGPT sidebar contextualised on the current page, the embedded Operator agent for multi-step tasks, and persistent memory that remembers what you read and do across tabs (with your explicit consent). Full sync with your ChatGPT account (conversations, projects, custom instructions).
Atlas is free for everyone. ChatGPT Plus subscribers ($20/mo) and Pro ($200/mo) unlock Operator access, GPT-5 in the sidebar, and extended memory.
