The underlying Computer-Using Agent (CUA) model watches the screen, reasons over visible elements, and clicks the right places without needing APIs. Operator asks for your confirmation before sensitive actions (payment, email send, deletion). You can take over at any time.
Operator is bundled with ChatGPT Pro at $200/month — the Plus tier at $20/mo doesn't include it. OpenAI launched Operator in early 2025 and deeply integrated it into ChatGPT Atlas in 2026.
